Knowledge

27 11 2009

Isn’t knowledge so great? I probably sound like some old woman who has seen everything when I say that, but I tend to be a deep thinker. Why I’m even talking about this is because I had a wonderful experience the other day involving something I thought I’d never use! As you know, I’m French. I was born French. I moved to America before I could speak so English was my first language. French is my second, but I know it as well as the first.  Anyway, I have some relatives that migrated to Montana from France last month. It’s a very big deal because they don’t speak any English. So my aunt–named Catherine–needed help in the supermarket. She called our house when I was the only one home. Speaking fluent French in a quick tone she blurted out that the man didn’t understand. Apparently he hadn’t given her enough change and they had been trying to use hand movements to understand eachother. The man had gotten very angry. Without thinking I hung up the phone and ran to the store. I was able to help the very angry men understand. They didn’t take it that well though. I just translated what Auntie said.

Do you like my new background and header?  You’d think I’d have something all pretty and pink, but no, I like this. Right now I’m feeling very good about myself because I have a nice picture for you. It proves that I’m not 100% slacker on posting pictures! A new girl came. She immediately signed up for newspaper staff which is way lucky for me because I’m the newspaper cheif. Her name is Chrissa Isaake. She’s way nice and she loves adventures. She’s holding something back though. I didn’t know what, but after reading this post (http://amazingags.blogspot.com/2009/11/happy-thanksgiving-birthday-spencer.html sorry I haven’t figured out the link stuff yet.) I figured something weird out. Key Words

“I just moved here from California, where I was attending a special school where I learned special things. What kind of things? You’ll never in your life believe me, but…magic things.”

Magic? I have a hard time believing in it. I’ll admit that. Then there’s this…

“I came to Sunny Day School after hearing the rumors all about it.  This school is supposedly going to open up to magic.”

Ah well. January will come soon, November left VERY quickly I swear! Supposedly January is when the school will annouce the “big change”. Everyone knows about it by now anyway.

Loves and Kisses!

They (meaning…well..everyone who gossips at school) that Sunny Day is going to have this HUGE transformation! They say that it means Sunny Day will get a new name, and teach completely different stuff! This will happen anywhere from January to June. Well our teachers have been acting really stressed out for some reason. Some of the rumors for our “new” school name is

Weird names, right? I PROMISE that I will try to post more, sorry, I just had to tell you the latest gossip. There’s one more weird thing though…something about…magic….???

November 1: All Saints Day!

3 11 2009

I had SUCH a fun day on Sunday! It was a French Holiday. It’s part of a national holiday called La Tussaint where we celebrate All Saints Day, the day for remembering saints, and All Souls Day, the day for praying for the souls of sick. Even though my family has lived in America for ten years now, we still celebrate French Holidays! On All Saints Day, kids are supposed to get out of school for two weeks! Unfortunitely, that wouldn’t work here in Deep Valley (America), so me and my got only two days off. On this day, some things you’re supposed to do are…
Go to church
Family Reunions (I’ve enjoyed this part)
Plus more! But my internet is about to shut off, sorry about no pictures, I will Update this post with some pictures of this holiday soon!

Meet Kenidy Cassion-My First Post

27 10 2009

This is my first post. Who am I? Well I’ll get there. First let me say that all day today at SDS (That’s short for Sunny Day School) I was SO excited to get to finally post on this blog…..well WordPress. I had a blog in the past (http://agmadness.blogspot.com) and I’m not sure what we’re going to do with that…..Anyway like I was saying, SO excited about this blog! Like today, Rachel looks at me and goes “You’re being jumpy.” Rachel is a nice girl and my best friend though some girls here at SDS think she’s a jerk (fyi Mia StClare and her gang) I didn’t tell her WHY I was excited, but that just kind of made me freak out more :)
Now…meet yours truly!

My full name is Kenidy Promise Alydia Cassion! (My initials are KPAC…cool right? I know, it doesn’t mean anything, but it’s cool!) I was born in  New York, but my parents are both from France
